Overview of the project

This is a small house built in a residential area near Omiya Station in Saitama prefecture, Japan. I stacked space in two shifted layers and I connected these layers with eaves intricately which is hanged between the floors then I created network type intertwined woven space. There is void in the center of the space and we can see opposite side of space through the void but we need to make long detour to reach that space although it is connected visually in short distance. I embedded short distance and long distance in one space simultaneously and also embedded various kinds of relationships of distances in this small house then we can perceive and experience larger space than actual one. I named a new form of this kind of space as “complex hierarchical network” and suggest it as the prototype of space which is suitable for society which network and information technology is widely spread.
